Not only did my father keep a number of photographs of his service, he also kept a number of important and/or interesting papers. Included in these papers were his original draft card.
In addition, his draft classification form was included.
The army liked to document everything, including a soldier's immunization history (actually very important considering the locations we were sending troops to).
